The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and Arlington Greens Golf Course are partnering again this year to offer free golf clinics to disabled veterans.

ArlingtonGreensLogo2The St. Louis V.A. is coordinating the month-long program, which takes place from 1-3pm on Thursdays at the Granite City golf course.

Arlington Greens PGA Pro and Course Manager Mark Marcuzzo said himself and area golf professionals are donating their time and expertise to assist the vets with their golf games.

“These veterans gave a lot for us, the least we can do is give back to them by sharing our skills and knowledge,” Marcuzzo said.

Participants will also have the opportunity to join in a weekly summer league at Arlington Greens to show off their newly developed swings and putts.

For more information about the program or to register for the clinic, contact Herman Lugge, supervisor of the Recreation Therapy Department at the St. Louis V.A., at 314-894-6644.
