SIUE women’s soccer Give Cancer a Red Card event Sunday

Southern Illinois University women’s soccer has teamed with the student group Goalkeepers to raise money and awareness in the fight against cancer.

The Cougars and Goalkeepers are joining forces with St. Louis Children’s Hospital and theVs. Cancer Foundation to Give Cancer a Red Card this Sunday at Korte Stadium.

In conjunction with SIUE women’s soccer’s spring exhibition games this Sunday, Goalkeepers will hold a family carnival at Korte Stadium.  Carnival activities include a bounce house, face painting, a ring toss, soccer drills, and snacks. A raffle will be held with prizes to include two summer soccer camp sessions.

All proceeds will be split between St. Louis Children’s Hospital and the Vs. Cancer Foundation.

The carnival opens at noon. SIUE women’s soccer will play host to Missouri Valley College and McKendree beginning at 1 p.m.
