Collinsville High School announces students of the month for December and January

Collinsville High School has announced the winners of their Senior of the Month, Student of the Month and Athlete of the Month awards for December and January.

SENIOR OF THE MONTH

December – Moet McFall

Moet was recently awarded $1,500 from the Zeta Charitable Foundation of St. Louis Inc. for her volunteer work with a variety of organizations such as the Food Fank of St. Louis and the Ronald McDonald house.

January – Justin Vishy

He is the first from our school to receive the National Student Council Horatio Alger college scholarship for $21,000.

STUDENT OF THE MONTH

December – Kelsie Jeffries

Selected as a KMOX/Southeast Missouri State University student of achievement

January – Alyssa Loyet

An excellent student both academically and as a student leader. She has perfect attendance this year and has missed only 2 1/2 days in her four years at CHS.

ATHLETES OF THE MONTH:

 December – Brandon Belobraydic for soccer

Brandon was named second team All-Conference; Academic All-Conference and 110% award for the Southwestern Conference.

January – Cody Pope for wrestling

Cody is a senior that placed 1st in the Chatham tournament, 1st in the Mascoutah Tournament and 4th at the Granite City Tournament.

David Jackstadt for wrestling

He went 3-0 in the wrestling opener and had an eight-match win streak. He led the team in wins with 26 and placed in three tournaments. He was a true senior leader in practice, in fundraising and at matches.
