Home Federal Savings & Loan will host a free Community Shred Day and Food Drive at its Maryville branch, located at 2110 North Center, on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. – noon.
The public is invited to donate a non-perishable, canned food item and then securely dispose of unwanted confidential and personal documents, such as tax records, financial records and medical information, via a professional shred truck located on the bank’s parking lot.
There will be a limit of ten boxes of items to be shredded per person. No electronics will be accepted.
Home Federal employees will collect all donated food and deliver it to the food pantries Maryville Outreach Center and Ministries Unlimited in Troy.
“We are proud to continue our tradition of hosting free Community Shred Days as a community service,” said Ron Shambaugh, President and Chief Executive Officer of Home Federal. “Earlier this year we began combining our Community Shred Day with our annual Food Drive in order to support two local needs at the same time. We appreciate the public’s continued support of our efforts to provide these valuable community services.”
