Senior art competition looking for entries

Don’t miss the chance to enter your piece of art in Life Experienced – A Senior Art Competition. Southwestern Illinois College and the St. Clair County Office on Aging are once again partnering with the Gateway East Artists’ Guild and Art on the Square for this unique art competition and exhibit.
Artists 60 and older who reside in the SWIC district or are members of the GEAG are invited to showcase their artistic abilities and have a chance to win prize money. Selected entries will be displayed at an exhibit March 26-April 9, 2015 at the SWIC Belleville Campus.
Categories for submission include: painting; drawing and prints; fine crafts; photography and digital art; and sculpture. Applications are due by Friday, Feb. 13 and an entry fee of $10 is required for each artist, which allows up to two entries per artist.
