The late summer heatwave gripping Collinsville has forced the season opening match for the Collinsville Kahok boys soccer team to be rescheduled.
The soccer match, originally scheduled for 4:30 p.m. at Alton Marquette has been rescheduled. The teams will square off in Alton at 4:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 19.
The girls golf match against Edwardsville, scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Monday, will not be played. A makeup date for the match has not yet been announced.
Both teams will be back in action Wednesday. The soccer Kahoks will host Althoff at 6:45 p.m at Kahok Stadium. Girls golf will play at the North County Country Club for a 4 p.m. match against Red Bud, Triad and Waterloo.
