If you’re considering earning a GED® credential, now is the time, and the Southwestern Illinois College Adult Basic Education department is ready to help!

Several free SWIC GED® high school equivalency test preparation classes get under way in St. Clair and Madison counties in September. The classes are open to anyone who has not yet received a high school diploma.

See the list below or visit swic.edu/ged for information on upcoming classes.

Daytime GED® classes will be offered at the following locations from Sept. 2 to Oct. 9: Christian Activity Center, 540 N. 6th St., in East St. Louis and the SWIC Red Bud Campus, 500 W. South Fourth St. The classes meet Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon.

Additional daytime GED® classes will meet Monday through Thursday starting Monday, Sept. 8 and running through Thursday, Oct. 2 from 9 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. or 11 a.m. to 2:50 p.m. at the following locations:
