Scam artists are once again targeting Ameren Illinois customers, Collinsville Police are warning.
Collinsville area residents and businesses have received phone calls from someone claiming to be from Ameren and attempting to collect payment for a bill the scam artist claims is past due. Before making any payments, Collinsville Police advise contacting Ameren to verify the information.
