The New Year’s Day snowfall that started late in the evening will clear out early Thursday morning.

The National Weather Service forecasts the powdery precipitation to end before 9 a.m. Temperatures are expected to drop throughout the morning, before rebounding to an afternoon high of around 20 degrees. The overnight low Thursday will be a nippy 2 degrees.

The snow will likely stick around for a couple of days, with the high temperature Friday expected to be 24. Saturday’s forecast calls for an afternoon high of 37, but more snow likely Saturday evening.
