The Collinsville Junior Service Club continued a Christmas tradition in 2013 by helping 16 needy families in the Collinsville Unit 10 district.

The group collected toys, coats, toiletries, food, clothes, cleaning supplies, gift cards and other items for the families, which included 52 children. The Junior Service Club gathered, wrapped, sorted and delivered the items to each family.

Julie Bartsch and Anita Whittington were chairwomen of the “Christmas Basket” event.
