Caseyville looking for “Thanks4giving” volunteers and donations

The village of Caseyville is looking for donations and volunteers to help its citizens in need this Thanksgiving.

The Caseyville “Thanks4giving” organizers would like food donations of green beans, corn, cranberry sauce, canned sweet potatoes, stuffing mix and instant mashed potatoes. Volunteers are need to work Sunday, Nov. 24th to assemble bags beginning at 1 p.m.

Volunteers are also needed from 3-6 p.m. on pickup and distribution day, Nov 25th.

Nominations for baskets must be made by Nov. 22 at 4:30 p.m. Nominations must include the name, address, telephone number and family size.

Donations can be left at City Hall.

There will also be a sign-up for volunteers and families at the Nov. 19 Town Hall meeting. If you know of anyone in need, you are asked to contact Rick Casey Jr. through Facebook or to call Village Hall at 344-1234.
