The American Red Cross is hosting a blood drive from 3-7 p.m. today at Dorris Intermediate School.

The blood drive is held in memory of Jessica  (18) and Kelli Uhl (13), of Collinsville, whose car was struck by a state trooper driving at 126 mph on Nov. 23, 2007. The trooper was using his cell phone and computer at the time he lost control of his car. The Uhl’s died from injuries sustained in the accident.

Dorris Intermediate School is at 1841 Vandalia St., Collinsville.
