Collinsville Middle School teacher Jennifer Reeves was honored Wednesday as the Edward Jones Unit 10 Teacher of the Month for March.

CMS Principal Kim Jackson said Reeves has been instrumental in helping the school deal with budget cuts.

“She has been a great asset, both on the side of administration and on the side of students, advocating what is in their best interest,” Jackson said.

Reeves has been helpful with other initiatives in the school as well. “She is kind of our jack of all trades, and I really appreciate her,” Jackson said.

Her students called her “awesome” and said she is very kind and helpful. One student got right to the heart of what may make Reeves very popular.

“She gives us candy at the end of the day,” she said.
