The Collinsville Lady Kahoks basketball team played Edwardsville to a tie in the first and fourth quarters Thursday in Edwardsville, but could not overcome a dismal middle two quarters.
In a battle of unbeaten teams entering the contest, the Tigers (4-0) outscored the Lady Kahoks (4-1) 15-3 in the second quarter and 15-5 in the third to easily win 56-34. Kate Martin, Rachel Pranger and Makenzie Silvey each scored 14 points to lead the Tigers.
Aubreeny Brady’s eight points led a balanced CHS attack.
Collinsville opens its home season Tuesday with a 7:30 p.m. contest against East St. Louis at Fletcher Gym.
