The Illinois Department of Transportation announced that both westbound and eastbound Interstate 270 will have lane closures from Illinois Route 3 to 1/2 mile east of interstates 55/70 from Wed. Jan. 29 until Aug. 1.
IDOT is warning of 30-60 minute traffic delays when road crews are at work. No lanes will be closed during peak travel time or between 5 p.m. and midnight Fridays. A detailed schedule of lane closures is below.
Damaged guardrails and crash attenuators will be replaced along the stretch.
