O’Fallon, Ill. – Collinsville entered the fourth quarter Friday with the slimmest possible lead, but left O’Fallon with its fifth consecutive defeat.
Leading 30-29 after three quarters, the Kahoks (3-5, 0-3 Southwestern Conference) were outscored 27-21 in the final stanza. Each team scored more points in the fourth quarter than in the first half. O’Fallon (4-4, 2-1 SWC) led 18-17 at the intermission after Collinsville squeezed only three points out of the second quarter.
The loss was the fifth consecutive for the Kahoks after they began the season 3-0.
Sophomore Ronnie Midgett lead the Kahoks with 14 points. O’Fallon’s Darien McClain led all scorers with 16.
Collinsville will try to snap its losing skid at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19 when the Kahoks host Alton.
