Madison County will host Veteran’s Amnesty Day Friday at the Madison County Courthouse.
Traffic, misdemeanor, felony and ordinance violation warrants will be quashed (set aside) or reset with no arrests. Amnesty day does not apply to federal or civil contempt warrants.
Other available services include receiving a new court date, speaking with a prosecutor or arranging to pay outstanding fines.
Madison County judges, assistant state’s attorneys and deputy circuit clerks will be available on site.
Veteran’s Amnesty Day will be from 1-4 p.m. Friday in Court Room 103 of the Madison County Courthouse, 155 North Main Street, Edwardsville.
Veterans must bring photo identification and DD-214.
