The Collinsville Police are asking the public to help identify a man who robbed the Collinsville Farm Fresh Dairy store on May 15.
The man, police said, also robbed the Edwardsville Farm Fresh Milk Store on May 24. Both robberies happened in the afternoon while employees were present, Collinsville Police Detective Chris Warren said.
“He basically walks around like a customer and waits until people are occupied,” Warren said. He then entered the office and stole a cash bag containing an undisclosed amount of money. The man committed a similar burglary at the Edwardsville store.
The suspect is an African-American male between 5-feet 9-inches and 6-feet tall. He is believed to weigh between 225 and 260 pounds, is 35-50 years-old, has a medium complexion a moustache and light facial hair. He appears to have short hair under the ball cap he was wearing.
The car the suspect drove at both burglaries was a 1997-2002, two-door, Pontiac Grand Prix. It is orange with blue or purple rally stripes and a blue or purple bottom half.
Anyone with information in this case is asked to contact Detective Warren at 618-344-2131 x 5139
