The Collinsville High School girls soccer team will play Belleville West in the Regional final Friday at 6 p.m. at Belleville West High School.
Belleville West was 10-7 overall and 2-4 in the SWC in the regular season. Collinsville won the regular season game between the two schools 1-0 April 8 at Kahok Stadium.
The Lady Kahoks beat Belleville East in their first Regional match Tuesday, winning 4-0.
Collinsville finished the regular season 11-5-2 overall and 6-0 in the Southwestern Conference. The Lady Kahoks outscored their last five opponents, including the first round of the Regionals, 21-1, going 4-0-1 during the stretch.
Mikayla McCarthy scored again Tuesday, giving her eight goals in her previous four matches, including a hat trick May 9 against Althoff. She had eight goals total in the regular season.
If the Lady Kahoks win, they will play at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, at Gordon Moore Park in Alton against the winner of the Regional final between Edwardsville (20-1 overall, 5-1 SWC) and Granite City (8-6 overall, 3-3 SWC) match. That match is also at 6 p.m. Friday.
In their first Regional matches, Edwardsville beat Quincy 1-0, and Granite City beat Alton 3-0.
