The Caseyville Public Library will hold a free electronics recycling event from 1-4 p.m. May 31.
Accepted items include computers, monitors of all types, printers, scanners, laptops and tablets, televisions, still and video cameras, MP3 players, VHS tapes, DVDs and CDs.
Batteries of all types will also be accepted, as well as cell phones and chargers, cables, keyboards, mice, radios and speakers, routers and modems, fax machines, PDAs, video game consoles, external drives, DVD and VHS players, cable receivers, digital converter boxes, alarm clocks, microwaves and shredders.
Items such as bicycles, paper and cardboard, scrap metal, Christmas lights, irons, and walkers or canes will also be accepted.
There is no need to worry about your personal data. Your data will be safe and secure. All hard drives will be wiped according to the Illinois EPA guidelines with a data destruction program that meets Department of Defense Standards.
Please do not leave any items on the lot.
