The Collinsville High School girls’ soccer team will play Belleville East in the first game of the 2014 Regional Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. at Belleville West High School.
The Lady Kahoks finished the regular season 11-5-2 overall and 6-0 in the Southwestern Conference. Collinsville outscored their last five opponents 19-4, going 3-1-1 during the stretch.
The scoring outburst for the Lady Kahoks came at the same time as an individual scoring outburst. Mikayla McCarthy scored seven goals during the final three games of the season, including a hat trick on May 9 against Althoff. She had eight goals total all year.
The Belleville East finished the season 2-15 overall and 0-6 in SWC play. Collinsville defeated the Lancers 2-0 on April 1 at Kahok Stadium.
If the Lady Kahoks win, they will play at 6 p.m. Friday against the winner of the Belleville West (10-7 overall, 2-4 SWC) and O’Fallon (12-6 overall, 3-3 SWC) match. The Maroons and Panthers play at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. All games are played at Belleville West High School.
