Playing in their sixth consecutive road match, Collinsville found the back of the net early and often Thursday evening, beating Breese Mater Dei 7-0.
The Lady Kahoks (10-5-2) spread the scoring wealth, with nine different players either scoring a goal or contributing an assist against the Lady Knights (9-7). Emily Holten had two goals and Mikayla McCarthy two assists, to lead the team.
McCarthy also scored a goal, her third of the season. The assists were her first two of the season.
Holten’s goals ran her total to nine on the season, good for second best on the team. She also fed Andrea Frerker for a goal, giving her a team-high five assists, tied with Frerker. The goal was Frerker’s second.
The Kahoks leading scorer, Sophia Sharos, knocked home her 11th goal of the year. Allysa Blaylock and Kitty Besserman notched their first goals of the season.
Matty Merlak, Chayse Richardson and Gabby Suria each had their first assists of the year.
Holly Bluemner and Julie Scheiter split the game in goal, each recording two saves.
Collinsville returns home for the first time since April 22 when they play a 6 p.m. match against Althoff Friday at Kahok Stadium. The game time was moved from the originally scheduled 6:30 p.m.
