The Collinsville softball team fell to Alton for the second time this season, scoring only a single run in each game.
After suffering a 6-1 defeat on April 10, the Kahoks lost 7-1 Tuesday afternoon at Alton in a Southwestern Conference matchup. Alton (18-8, 6-4 SWC) jumped out to a 2-0 lead after one inning and never looked back.
The Redbirds added three runs in the second and two more in the fifth. Collinsville (12-13, 1-8 SWC) scored in the sixth, when Alex Holten knocked in Sara Scrum.
Caitlyn Brombolich and Audrey Allard led the Kahoks with two hits each. Kassidy Smith, Samantha Buettner, Bost and Scrum each had one hit.
