Belleville, IL — Enjoy a unique “night at the races” when the Scottish Rite and Children’s Dyslexia Center host Mouse Races and a silent auction on Saturday, May 17, at the Scottish Rite building, 1549 Frank Scott Parkway in Belleville. The mice will race for entertainment only, so bring the kids for an evening of family fun. Pick the winning mouse in each race for a chance to take home a prize.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the first race is at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 per person, payable in advance or at the door. The cost includes beer, soda and “mouse money.” Bring your own snacks or purchase hamburgers and hot dogs at the event.

Proceeds will benefit the Children’s Dyslexia Center of Southern Illinois and the Valley of Southern Illinois Scottish Rite. The Dyslexia Center’s professional tutors help elementary and high school students overcome the challenges of reading and writing, at no charge to their families. The Scottish Rite Masons are national leaders in helping children and their families overcome obstacles of dyslexia.
