The Friends of Lovejoy Library will host its inaugural Trivia Night from 7-10 p.m. Friday April 25. Lovejoy Library’s second floor will provide a unique setting for an entertaining evening.

The trivia competition will feature 10 rounds of general knowledge questions created by the Keepers of the Flame of Knowledge. A silent auction and attendance prizes consisting of a wide range of signed books and magazines will be available.

Two signed books that will be in the silent auction are Suzanne Collin’s “The Hunger Games” and George R. R. Martin’s “A Game of Thrones.” View the catalogue here.

“We expect this first Trivia Night experience to be fun, engaging and entertaining for everyone who participates,” said Kyle Moore, Lovejoy Library director of development. “This event benefits every unit on campus as it allows the library to purchase new materials that benefit our students’ academic experience.”

Tables of eight can be purchased for $150, and individuals may attend at $20 per person. There will be cash prizes and trophies for the wining team.

Attendees are allowed to bring their own snacks. Soft drinks and water will be provided, and a cash bar will be available.

Friends of Lovejoy Library membership is open to anyone who wishes to assist SIUE students to receive the greatest educational information possible. Since 1965, the Friends have significantly contributed to the quality of Library programs through the establishment of endowed funds, and the purchase of books, materials and equipment. These efforts enhance the Library’s collections and transform information delivery to students. An annual Friends membership is $35.
