East Alton – The Collinsville High School hockey team defeated East Alton-Wood River 6-1 Thursday to claim the Mississippi Valley Club Hockey Association 1A championship.

East Alton-Wood River answered just more than one minute later. All-Star goalie Kyle Bray appeared to have covered the shot, but it was ruled a goal, cutting the Kahoks’ lead in half. But, the rout was on from there.
