Cory Sperry’s goal with 3 minutes 48 seconds remaining in the first put the Kahoks (13-5-4) up 1-0. Jason Sperry and Jacob Scrum notched assists on the goal.

The score remained 1-0 until midway through the third period when Brandon Harris beat the Oilers (7-13-5) goalie. Assists on the goal were credited to Jacob Bednara and Christian Brussatti.

Another Sperry goal iced the game for the Kahoks, this one by Jason Sperry. Cory Sperry assisted on the play, to mark the second time the brothers team up on a goal, each taking a turn lighting the lamp.

Kahoks netminder Kyle Bray pitched a shutout, stopping all 29 shots he faced. It was Collinsville’s second shutout of the playoffs and ran their playoff record to a perfect 5-0.

The Kahoks and the Oilers play at 7:15 Tuesday at the East Alton Ice Arena. A Collinsville victory would secure the Kahoks’ first championship.
