Southern Illinois University Edwardsville has announced the adjustment of game times for Saturday’s men’s and women’s basketball games at the Vadalabene Center.
The women’s game against Eastern Illinois will tip off at 1 p.m. The men’s game, also against Eastern Illinois, will tip at 5:05 p.m.
The games were adjusted to accommodate FOX Sports Midwest, which will televise the men’s game live.
Saturday marks the final regular season home game for both teams. Three seniors from each team will be recognized prior to their respective games.
The men’s team has already secured a spot in the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament March 5-8 in Nashville, Tenn. The women’s team also is close to clinching a spot in the tournament as well.
OVC Tournament Tickets On Sale Now
SIUE men’s basketball has secured its first-ever spot in the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament, Mar. 5-8 in Nashville, Tenn. Women’s basketball is close to clinching its own spot.
Cougar fans have the opportunity to see the Cougars make a run at an OVC Championship and the Conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. Fans may now purchase tickets to the four-day event which takes place at Nashville’s Municipal Auditorium.
Tickets for the OVC Championship are $80 for an all-session pass and may be purchased through the SIUE Athletics ticket office by calling 855-SIUE-TIX.
SIUE students have the opportunity to receive a free all-session pass. Beginning at noon Saturday the first 100 students to show their student I.D. at the table in the East lobby of the Vadalabene Center will receive a voucher for the all-session pass at no charge. The voucher may then be redeemed in person at Municipal Auditorium immediately prior to SIUE’s first tournament game.
Seeding, matchups, and game times are still to be determined. The Cougars’ regular season comes to a close Saturday, with both men’s and women’s team playing host to Eastern Illinois. The women’s game will tip off at 1 p.m., while the men’s contest tips off at 5:05 p.m. and will be shown live on FOX Sports Midwest.
