The Collinsville High School girls bowling team took 2nd place at the Alton Sectional Saturday to qualify for the State Tournament.
The Lady Kahoks will be looking to better their 8th place finish in the State Tournament last year. The team will travel to Rockford for the two-day tournament, starting Friday, Feb. 21. The competition takes place at The Cherry Bowl in Rockford.
O’Fallon won the Sectional. Alton and Herrin finished third and fourth respectively to also qualify for State.
The CHS boys bowlers took 8th place at the State Tournament earlier this year. Both teams are coached by Sean Hay.
