Collinsville Unit 10 has cancelled school for Wed. Jan. 8, the third consecutive day of cancellations.
Students have not attended class since Dec. 20, the last day before the regularly scheduled winter break.
The forecast high for Wednesday in the Collinsville area is 31 degrees. As of Tuesday afternoon, many streets were still treacherous as the Illinois Department of Transportation and local agencies battled to clear streets after 12 inches of snow and bitter cold temperatures.
