The nasty weather that moved into the area in the early morning hours Sunday, and is forecast to continue through midday Tuesday, has prompted schools and government offices to close.

In addition to area closures, Republic Services has delayed trash and recycle pick up in Collinsville by one day for the week. Pick-up service normally scheduled for Monday will occur Tuesday.

The Collinsville Area Recreation District offices are closed Monday. All classes and programs are cancelled for the day.

The Collinsville Chamber of Commerce offices are closed.

Collinsville City Hall, the Collinsville Memorial Library Center, Collinsville Unit 10 schools, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and Southwestern Illinois College are all closed Monday.

SWIC has cancelled all events. The SIUE women’s basketball game has been moved from 7 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Maryville City Hall is closed and the Maryville Community Improvement Board Meeting set for Monday evening has been cancelled.

Caseyville City Hall is open.
