Alene Hill, Collinsville Chamber of Commerce Media Coordinator, was recently awarded the first Paul Miller Business Associate of the Month award.
Collinsville Progress chose Hill for the award, which will be given monthly to an exceptional Collinsville business associate, for her dedication and helpfulness.
Vicki Borror, CEO of Quality Accounting Solutions, nominated Hill. “Although she is extremely stretched thin at the Chamber, she is always willing to help, listen and support you in any way she can,” Borror said.
Sandy Darling, a Collinsville Progress Board of Directors member and Paul Miller’s daughter, presented the award to Hill.
Firefighter Dusty Katich was named the Paul Miller award winner for December. Collinsville Progress honored Katich for going beyond the call of duty after giving a fire station to a 4-year-old boy who is blind.
Paul Miller was a co-founder of Miller & Maack General Contractors in Collinsville. Miller was an active member of the community and believed that an efficient, knowledgeable and friendly staff were an integral part of any business.

Collinsville Progress is the community development arm of the Collinsville Chamber of Commerce. The group also made an $800 donation to the Miner’s Institute Foundation.
