Three weeks after he was last seen; there are few clues to the whereabouts of a missing Collinsville man.
Joe Hartsoe, 22, was last seen on Nov. 25 at 11:30 a.m. at the home of a relative in Collinsville. Collinsville Police Department Detective Mark Kuechle said the department is still looking for leads in the case.
“We have tracked down a lot of leads, but nothing that I would call solid or concrete,” Kuechle said.
Hartsoe could be anywhere in the Metro East or St. Louis area, Kuechle said.
Hartsoe was wearing a grey t-shirt, dark blue jacket and dark grey coat at the time of his disappearance. He has a history of substance abuse and is considered endangered, police said.
Anyone with information on Hartsoe’s whereabouts is asked to contact Kuechle at (618) 344-2131, extension 5138. Information can also be provided anonymously by calling (618) 301-4444.
Missing person cases in Collinsville are not rare, but they typically involve a juvenile “runaway type of situation” and are resolved rather quickly, either by police, or when the person returns home, Kuechle said.
