Collinsville High School on Wednesday honored its athletes who showed excellence in the classroom and on the field of play.
More than 100 student-athletes, about a third of all athletes competing in fall sports at all levels, were honored for having a GPA of 3.75 or better for the current school year.
Keenai Sampson was recognized for qualifying for the golf state tournament and finishing 19th overall.
The girls tennis doubles team of Olivia Scaturro and Maddie Swiecicki were recognized for being the first CHS doubles tennis team to qualify for the state tournament. The pair won their first-round match at state, before losing their next two contests.
