Kahoks junior midfielder Grant Bauer has been named first team All-Conference, for the Southwestern Conference, by the Illinois High School Soccer Coaches Association.

Bauer and senior striker Cody Sanftleben were also named to the Illinois Section 12 All-Section team. Sanftleben and senior defender Brandon Belobraydic were 2nd-team All-Conference selections. Freshman defender Jordan Blasingame was named 3rd-team All-Conference.

Sanftleben led the Kahoks with 12 goals and tied Bauer with a team-high six assists. Sanftleben, tied for the second-leading scorer in the Southwestern Conference, missed the last game of the regular season and the playoff match due to injury. Bauer found the back of the net 8 times, good for second on the team.

Belobraydic, a team captain, along with Bauer and Sanftleben, earned the conference honors on the strength of his stellar defensive work. Blasingame cracked the Kahoks’ varsity roster several matches into the season. His speed quickly made him a key member of the team as they won five of their final regular season six contests.
