Hayrides, scavenger hunts , fresh pulled pork sandwiches and a complimentary cake reception will highlight Fall Farm Day at Willoughby Farm Saturday, Oct. 5.
The Collinsville Area Recreation District is hosting Fall Farm Day to celebrate 10 years of education and recreation at Willoughby Farm. Admission is free.
From 10 a.m.-2 p.m., visitors can visit with goats, sheep, pigs, and rabbits; snap a photo in the pumpkin grove, hike the trails, chat with University of Illinois Extension Master Gardeners, and listen to live Bluegrass music.
Pulled pork sandwiches, made from a whole hog cooked on-site that day, and other homemade treats will be available for purchase.
The day will also include the dedication of the new Willoughby Family Memorial at 11 a.m. and a ribbon cutting for the newest bridge in the Conservation Reserve at 11:15 a.m. At 11:30 a.m., there will be a complimentary cake reception (while supplies last) to celebrate 10 years of Willoughby Farm.
The day includes free activities for children, hayrides and scavenger hunts.
