The Illinois Department of Transportation will hold a public information meeting for the final phase of the Illinois Route 159 expansion project on Sept. 4 in Collinsville.
“Of the three phases that IDOT is working on for the city, this is the most intensive,” Collinsville Mayor John Miller said at the City Council meeting Monday.
Project engineers will be on hand to answer questions and project information will be available. The meeting will be from 4–7 p.m. at the American Legion Post, 1022 Vandalia St.
The final phase of the Illinois Route 159 expansion work through Collinsville goes from E. Johnson Street to Kinloch Avenue. Work began this month and is scheduled to conclude in 2016.
