Caseyville’s third annual Freaky Five 5K is Saturday

Registration is open for the third annual Freaky Five Halloween 5K Run/Walk, Oogle Moogle Monster Mash Dash kid’s fun run and Bonfire.

The evening event is Saturday, Oct. 18 in Caseyville Park and is a fundraiser for kid’s park activities.  It opens to the public at 3 p.m. for race day registration, packet pick up, free rock taping and spinal checks by HealthSource Chiropractic and Progressive Rehab of Fairview Heights and free athletic massage and body work by Jamie Petty, LMT.

The Dash starts at 4:30 p.m. Every registered participant receives a ribbon.  The 5K starts at 5 p.m., with awards to the first three overall male/female winners and the top three winners in each age group.  Registered 5K participants receive a long-sleeve T-shirt.  Anyone wanting to support the event but not run or walk the 5K can register as a Lawn Chair Support Team member, receive the event T-shirt, cheer their friends/family at the run and enjoy the DJ and Bonfire party afterwards.Those who register now can pick their packet up early, on Oct. 16 at Village Hall from 3-7 p.m.  Registrations forms can be found online at caseyville.org/park.html, at Caseyville Village Hall, Caseyville Library and Caytown.  Online registration is available through onestoprace.com.  Questions? call 618-540-2399.
