CHS boys and girls compete at the Madison County Cross Country Championship

Sophomore Andrea Frerker finished 10th in the Madison County Cross Country Championship Tuesday, the top finisher for the Collinsville boys and girls teams at the meet.

Senior Alex Reed’s 12th place finish in the 5K, at 17 minutes, 33.71 seconds, was tops for the Kahok boys team. Frerker completed the course in 21:06.67.

Edwardsville High School dominated the boys and girls competitions on the way to a dual championship. Brydon Groves-Scott won the boys meet with a time of 15:48.33. Julianna Determan had to low time for the girls at 19:30.33. The Tigers placed four of the top five finishers among the boys and three of the top five girls.

The Kahok boys finished fifth of six teams competing. The girls finished fourth of six teams.

Other finishers for the Kahok girls team were: 18th place – Kaitlyn Frisbee (22:17.05), 22nd place – Alana Moore (23:17.93), 27th place – Cindy Morales (24:12.44), 36th place – Christine Frisbee (27:06.17), 37th place – Addyson Horras (27:43.98).

Other Kahok boys team finishers were: 18th place – Brendan Peterson (18:23.17), 22nd place – Jacob Bednara (18:38.86), 23rd place – T.J. Verning (18:48.39), 25th place – Bryce Whitehead       (18:55.96), 27th place – Drake Claxton (19:05.54), 30th place – Will Autenrieth (19:24.15).
