The Brevity Fitness third annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb will be held at Monks Mound Thursday, Sept. 11.

Registration begins at 5 p.m. Climbers will begin in waves, according to registration, at 6 p.m.

Walkers will register for one of three circuits. Five laps of the 154 Monks Mound steps, which is the equivalent of 62 floors of the North Tower of the World Trade Center in New York. Six laps, which is the equivalent of 78 floors of the South Tower and nine laps, or 110 floors of the World Trade Center towers.

The event is free and open to everyone.
