A candlelight vigil to remember all of those lost to heroin will be held from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13 at Malcolm W. Martin Memorial Park in East St. Louis.

The annual event will feature speakers and resources available for everyone that has been effected by opiate/heroin addiction and abuse. There will also be a reading of the names.

This event is being organized by The Missouri Network for Opiate Reform and Recovery, Hero Inside Organization, The Lime Tree, and TheMissouri Recovery Network and is to show that no one was lost in vain, the fight continues in their memory and to save others.

The event is usually held at The Grand Staircase of the Gateway Arch. However, due to construction, it will be at Malcolm W. Martin Memorial Park, 185 W. Trendley Ave, East Saint Louis, IL, 62201.
