A group dedicated to awarding scholarships to Collinsville area high school students is hosting a fundraising golf scramble on Oct. 1.

The Collinsville Education Scholarship Foundation golf scramble will begin with a 1 p.m. shotgun start at Arlington Greens Golf Course. Registration and lunch begins at noon.

The cost is $80 per golfer or $320 per team. Prizes will be awarded for closest to the pin and straightest drive. There will be a skins game and 50/50 raffle.

Through fundraising and charitable giving, CESF collects funds and awards scholarship money to graduating seniors who live in the city of Collinsville and plan to further their education, whether that be at a college, university, community college, vocational school or technical school. Each scholarship award has a value of $1,000. The number of scholarships awarded annually will be dependent upon available funds.
