Monday is Labor Day, a day when large quantities of trash are created as friends and family gather to eat, drink and celebrate a day away from work.

The trash and recyclable items left over from the holiday revelry will be collected one day later than usual next week.

Collinsville residents who typically have rubbish and recycle collected on Monday will, instead, have them collected on Tuesday. All other collections will also be delayed by one day.
