The Madison County Sheriff’s Department arrived at the 3100 block of Fairmont Avenue in State Park at approximately 2:11 a.m. Monday, to find an apparently intoxicated Jodi R. Limper, police said. The officer on the scene determined that Limper, 36, of the first block of Hickory Hill Lane in Glen Carbon, had been involved in a fight with Robin Burton, the bartender.

The owner of the bar attempted to break-up the fight, police said, and was shoved to the ground by Limper. Because the bar owner, who was not identified, is over 60 years-old, Limper was charged with aggravated battery, a felony.

Bond was set at $50,000 for Limper, who is currently in custody.

Burton was charged with misdemeanor battery for initiating contact with Limper, police said.
