A man with pending court dates related to 20 traffic violations and two possession of cannabis charges from six law enforcement agencies is in jail on another charge after being stopped for speeding by Caseyville Police 12:30 a.m. Saturday.

Daniel E. Bell, 29, of the 8800 block of Bermuda Avenue in Caseyville was charged with failure to register as a sex offender, a felony. Bell, who has an address in Fairview Heights in the Illinois Sex Offender Registry, did not register as a sex offender when he moved to Caseyville, police charge.

Bell pleaded guilty to child sex abuse in St. Clair County in 2003. According to the Illinois Sex Offender Registry, he was 17 at the time and the victim was 2-years-old.

Bail was set at $20,000 for Bell, who is being held at the St. Clair County Jail.
