The first TIF request is for a business building located at 118 S. Seminary Street that is currently vacant. The owner, Jesse Moore, is requesting $496 in order to install an awning on the building.

Moore has submitted another TIF request, this time for California Styles hair salon at 311 West Main Street. This request is for $3,968. The planned project will replace a section of the parking lot and fill cracks, sealcoat and stripe the rest of the lot.

Wild, Inc., which owns Wild Country, located at 17 Gateway Drive, is requesting $25,854.30 to replace the fire alarm system in order to bring the facilities up to code.

The final TIF request comes from D.I.P. Restaurants, LLC, which owns the former Horseshoe Lounge, located at 410 St. Louis Road. The total amount requested is $67,877.75. This project will convert the property into a family-friendly restaurant. The TIF request is split into $28,349.75 for rehabilitation costs and $39,528 for fire safety improvements.

The Council will also consider changes to an ordinance that allows only one snow cone stand in the city, which is located at Camelot Bowl. The same ordinance will introduce changes to prepare Collinsville for food trucks, when they are permitted in Madison County. The mobile food providers are currently not permitted by the Madison County Health Department.

The city will establish salaries and wages for full- and part-time non-union personnel. The ordinance reflects increases of 2 percent for non-union personnel. The new rates would be in effect starting June 23.

Another ordinance will accept a gift of real estate and improvements at 507 Western Ave. The property is condemned and has been classified as a nuisance property. Demolition would be scheduled once the City owns the property.

The Collinsville City Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. June 9 at the City Hall Council Chambers, located at 125 S. Center Street.
