Collinsville woman accused of bilking elderly couple of $60,000

The St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office, on Wednesday, charged Kathy J. Rosen, of Collinsville, with financial exploitation of an elderly person.

Caseyville Police were first called to the 8800 block of Bermuda Drive in Caseyville on Aug. 8, 2012, to address an elderly fraud complaint. The victims were an elderly couple that reported they had entrusted their finances to Rosen, who had stolen more than $60,000 over the course of several years, police said.

The charges against Rosen, of the 1600 block of Waverly Drive, Collinsville, are a class 1 felony. Bond was set at $60,000.

Rosen was taken into police custody Thursday in Troy.
