Curtain’s Up Theater Company will present an encore performance of “Cinderella or the Story of Big Foot” on the historic stage at the Wildey Theater, 252 N. Main Street, Edwardsville Saturday, June 28, at 1 p.m., for one performance only.
This humorous retelling of the traditional story is a wonderful tale of how true beauty comes from within and that it’s not just okay to be yourself, but that it’s the only way to be.
Full of unexpected twists, the story provides great characters including Ella Le Grand, an orphan living in her father’s house now run by her cruel and selfish stepmother.
When Ella and her stepfamily are invited to the King’s ball, she is assisted by Dweezil Twistup, Fairy God-dude Extraordinaire, and his sidekick, Junior. Prince Alfonse XIII, comes on the scene and Ella finds that he’s the coolest cat in the kingdom.
