For a second consecutive game, the Kahoks, who have lost seven of their past eight games, failed to score. They have scored only two runs in their last three games.

Despite the lack of run production, and the 7-0 score, Head Coach Cindy Kolda said the team played well.

“They had some good at bats, but the O’Fallon pitcher threw great.” Kolda said. “We had chances, had runners on and couldn’t get them across the plate.”

Collinsville (10-10, 1-7 SWC) could muster only three hits and a walk against Addison Barnouski. Two hitters reached on an error. Despite their low offensive totals, the Kahoks had a runner in scoring position in four innings against O’Fallon (16-8, 5-2 SWC).

Starting pitcher Sidney Bost held the Panthers scoreless through 3 1/3, but allowed six runs (four earned) over the next inning. Addison Wickiser finished the game for the Kahokss surrendering a run on two hits in 1 1/3 innings.

The Kahoks travel to Lincoln, Ill Friday to begin a four-game tournament.
