Selsius™ Corporate & Career Training of Southwestern Illinois College is a host site for a series of energy efficiency and management training seminars this spring.

Through the Illinois Green Economy Network (IGEN), Selsius will offer the following free training sessions:

– Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Equipment Best Practices, April 23 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., led by Kevin Lewton of Met Demand, Inc.

– Saving Energy in Commercial & Industrial Facilities, May 7 from 8 a.m. to noon and again from 1 to 5 p.m., led by Mike Gilley of Fox River Systems

Business owners, energy managers, facility operators, industry and manufacturing building owners, contractors, building officials and municipal representatives are encouraged to attend.

IGEN is offering this opportunity to learn about behavior change and energy efficiency/reduction practices through Illinois community colleges. The program is designed to promote measurable energy demand reduction through education and training.

Funding is provided through the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) Building Industry Training Education (BITE) Program.

Space is limited. Register online for any of these free sessions at igencc.org/energyefficiencytraining.
